ADF attorney available to media after hearing in firing of Calif. professor

Alliance Defense Fund Litigation Staff Counsel David J. Hacker will be available for media interviews following a hearing in federal court Friday in a lawsuit filed on behalf of biology professor June Sheldon against San Jose/Evergreen Community College District officials.  The school fired Sheldon for answering a student’s in-class question about heredity and homosexual behavior after another student supposedly complained that she was “offended,” even though Sheldon answered the question according to the curriculum.

Pakistan: Muslims Attack 110 Homes of Christians

LAHORE, Pakistan, July 3 (Compass Direct News) – After a Muslim beat a Christian field worker for asking him to let him pass on Tuesday (June 30), a cleric in a village near here used a mosque loudspeaker to announce a call to attack Christians that resulted in more than 500 Muslims ransacking and looting at least 110 houses.

Ohio Supreme Court agrees state law requires compliance with abortion drug restrictions

The Ohio Supreme Court ruled Friday that an Ohio statute does indeed require abortionists to abide by the manufacturer’s dosing instructions and warnings when prescribing the abortion drug RU-486. The Alliance Defense Fund provided funding for a friend-of-the-court brief filed in the case by Americans United for Life.

I recently heard a TV commentator announce, “Ready or not, Christmas is coming!” It almost was like he was announcing an oncoming train just before a dreaded collision. His tone suggested that Christmas was something to be avoided if at all possible. I think he was missing something significant.
